Brent Adams and Sean Harris, both seniors at Northwest High School in Cedar Hill, Mo., signed letters of intent to play men's soccer at St. Louis College of Pharmacy this fall.
At a signing ceremony at Northwest HS, the longtime friends and teammates Adams and Harris put pens to paper, committing their talents to STLCOP for next year. Gary and Michelle Adams (Brent's parents), Phillip and Norma Ambrose (Brent's grandparents), Patrick and Donna Harris (Sean's parents), head Northwest HS soccer coach Dave Willis, Northwest HS Activities Director Jeff Taggart, and STLCOP Athletic Director Jill Harter witnessed the event.
The two seniors grew up playing sports together in Cedar Hill and continued as teammates on the Northwest HS Lions soccer team. Adams is an all-around athlete, who played for the Lions' varsity basketball and volleyball teams as well as soccer. Harris focused on soccer during his high school career, playing up a level on two club teams (JC United and Kutis Gold Academy U19), in addition to the Northwest HS varsity squad. Both played defense for the Lions last fall.
Head STLCOP coach Jack Jamieson says Adams and Harris are solid backfield players who will make an immediate impact on the Eutectic program.
"Brent and Sean's addition will allow us to move current defenders up to the forward line without losing a step in the backfield," Jamieson said. "Signing both of them gives us additional depth on the defensive end, and, with their skill, I wouldn't hesitate moving either one of them to an offensive position. I'm looking forward to them wearing the Eutectic Jersey and representing our program. They are great young men that Coach Willis from NWHS was extremely proud to have in his program."
