Thomas Jamieson
Men's Soccer, 2014-2016
Eutectics Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2019
Thomas was instrumental in the formation of the STLCOP men’s soccer program in 2014, helping to lay the foundation for the team. During his third year as a STLCOP student, he played on the inaugural team and finished out his remaining seasons of eligibility, earning team MVP honors each season. He was elected team captain each of his three years, leading the 2015 team as the American Midwest Conference selected the program for the “Fair Play & Sportsmanship” award. In 2016, he became STLCOP’s first “field player” to earn AMC All-Conference accolades as Honorable Mention.
As the starting midfielder for the Eutectics, Thomas holds the STLCOP records for Career Assists and Single Season Assists. His versatility on the pitch was best displayed when he stepped up to fill the position of the teams’ injured goalkeeper during a game playing the position for the first time in his career. During that game, he tied the STLCOP record for Saves in a Game (17), then broke that record in the very next game with 19 saves against a nationally-ranked opponent. He finished the season ranked seventh in the NAIA for Single Game Saves. In all, he racked up 50 saves in the two-and-a-half games he played at goal.
In addition to his soccer accomplishments, Thomas was elected as the first president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and earned AMC Academic All-Conference honors in 2015 and 2016. When he exhausted his eligibility, he remained connected to the men’s soccer program as a graduate assistant coach. Since earning his PharmD in 2018, he has continued to mentor the current student-athletes and recruit talented student-athletes as an assistant coach for the team.
