Eutectics Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2020 (Induction Ceremony in 2022)

Shawn Menckowski made his mark on the Eutectic basketball team as a sophomore shooting guard in 2011-12. He finished the season averaging 20.63 point per game to lead the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) and rank 10th in the NAIA. He was a real weapon for the Eutectics from beyond the arc, averaging 3.18 3-point field goals per game to lead the KIAC. Known throughout the conference for his stellar shooting, he received KIAC All-Conference recognition to become the third Eutectic player in school history to earn All-Conference status.

By the end of his senior season, Shawn had racked up 1,451 career points to join the elite Eutectic 1,000-Point Club. He currently ranks sixth among all Eutectic men’s basketball players in NAIA history for Career Scoring. In addition, he ranks second in Eutectic history for Career 3-Point Field Goals (214).

Shawn averaged 19.35 Points per Game over his Eutectic career to rank third in the program’s history. His 40 points in the team’s 75-74 victory at Greenville College on November 15, 2011, ties the program’s sixth-highest single game point total.

Shawn led the Eutectic team in Points per Game all four years of his Eutectic career. He earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award for three seasons (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14).

In addition to basketball, Shawn was a pole vaulter for the Eutectic men's track & field team.

After his senior season of collegiate basketball, Shawn was invited to a tryout in Las Vegas for EuroProBasket Basketball Academy, an academy specializing in professional basketball placement.
