Eutectics Sweep Series with Trojans
HANNIBAL, MO. – The Eutectic baseball team closed out the regular season on Tuesday in Hannibal, Mo., by winning both games on Day 2 of the four-game series with the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans (7-31, 6-30 AMC). UHSP started the day with a lopsided 18-3 win and followed it up with a 10-6 victory. Tuesday's wins follow two solid Day-1 wins against the Trojans in Hannibal on Friday, to complete the Eutectics' American Midwest Conference (AMC) series sweep. The wins put the Eutectics' AMC record at 16-20, improving their chances for a berth in the six-team AMC Championship tournament.

NEXT UP:
The Eutectics' 22-28 record overall and 16-20 Conference record may just be good enough to qualify them for the AMC tournament as the number-six seed. It will all come down to how the Williams Baptist University Eagles (23-20, 14-18 AMC) fare in their final series against third-ranked Mission University (28-16, 21-11 AMC) this Wednesday and Thursday. The Eutectics went 3-1 against the Eagles in Conference play last week. The AMC Championship tournament will take place at Carshield Field in O'Fallon, Mo., April 29-May 2.
