Eutectics split doubleheader with Evangel in Springfield

Game 1 – EU 10, UHSP 7

SPRINGFIELD, MO – UHSP opened Saturday's doubleheader against Evangel with a hard-fought battle at University Field, but an early offensive surge by the Valor proved to be the difference in a 10–7 loss. After Evangel struck for seven runs in the third inning, the Eutectics spent the remainder of the game chipping away and bringing the tying run to the plate late.

Game 1 Highlights

SPRINGFIELD, MO – UHSP responded in the nightcap with a complete team performance, taking control early and never looking back in a 7–2 win over Evangel at University Field. Consistent offense and steady pitching allowed the Eutectics to even the doubleheader and move back to .500 on the season.

  • Ethan Harrell delivered the turning point, blasting a two-run triple in the fourth inning.
