Eutectics Finish Sixth at Cougar Classic

COLUMBIA, MO. –  After winning Round 2 of the inaugural Arch City Cup hosted by UHSP on Friday, the Eutectic cheer team travelled to Columbia College on Saturday to compete in the Cougar Classic.

Six teams competed in the Round 1 Coed division of the Cougar Classic, which included several schools who also competed at the Arch City Cup on Friday: UHSP, Taylor University, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Culver-Stockton College. Missouri Valley College and Benedictine University filled out the competition list for the Round 1 Coed division.

The Eutectics received an overall score of 70.22 in the event to finish in sixth place. While the score was lower than their first-place score of 76.18 in St. Louis on Friday, it is still the second-highest score in Eutectic cheer program history.

The Eutectics will take some time off from competition, perfecting their competition routine before returning to Columbia for the American Midwest Conference Championships on Friday, Mar. 6.
