UHSP men end up 13th as Day 2 at WWU axed due to weather
FULTON, MO – The Eutectics were looking to improve on a tough first day at the Williams Woods Spring Invitational, but never got that chance as Mother Nature took over on Tuesday and wiped out the final day of action. UHSP ended up 13th out of 15 teams with William Woods winning the title with a 289 (+1). UHSP shot a 333 (+45), one stroke better than Central Methodist. Spencer Worley of William Woods won the tournament with a 4-under 68.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Will Turner was the top Eutectics with a 6-over 78. On the front nine, he shot a 41 including five bogeys, but was only 1-over on the back nine including a birdie to open the round on the par-4 10th hole.
- Alex Chandler, Brett Bushue and Connor Kosola were each one stroke apart with Chandler carding a 12-over 84, Bushue sitting at 85 and Kosola turning in an 86. Bushue had the lone birdie of that trio as he opened his round with a three on the par-4, 352-yard first hole. He stayed one under par through three holes until he double-bogeyed #4.
- Cooper Thomas and Gunner Mahurin were separated by five strokes with a 95 and 100 respectively. Thomas went 46/49 while Mahurin shot a pair of 50's.

UHSP will be at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course in Alton, IL for a tournament hosted by Missouri Baptist on April 13-14. After that, it will be the AMC Championships beginning on April 20 at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne, Ark.
