Blueboys Take Care of Business Against The Eutectics

JACKSONVILLE, IL – Illinois College goes on a scoring frenzy in the 6-0 shutout win over UHSP on Sunday. Oscar Liogon Arenas and Joey Hernandez each put two in the back of the net for the Blueboys as the Eutectics drop to 1-6 on the year.

• Oscar Liogon Arenas nets his 5^th goal of the season and opens up the scoring in the 2^nd half for the Blueboys.
• Aidan Gowin scores unassisted at the 67:58 minute mark for IC.
• At 71:42, Tyler Lunning makes it 5-0 with the help of Carter Uhlmann.
• Joey Hernandez caps of the Illinois College scoring in the 81^st minute assisted by Nate Kapitz.
• Christian Morales limits the scoring with 12 saves for UHSP.
• Illinois College tallies six goals on 30 shots (18 on goal) against the Eutectics.
• The Blueboys defense only allows one shot for the Eutectics in the contest.
• This was the fourth all-time meeting between the two clubs with the Blueboys improving to now 4-0 vs UHSP.

The Eutectics (1-6) return home on Tuesday for a 3:00 PM kickoff against Monmouth College in Creve Coeur. The NCAA Division III Fighting Scots enter the matchup with a 2-2-1 record following a recent win over NAIA opponent Buena Vista. UHSP will look to regroup and snap its four-game skid as it aims to get back in the win column against Monmouth.
