McVey and St. Clair Break Own Records at SEMO

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – Evan McVey and Kristofer St. Clair each improved their own UHSP record in their respective events on Saturday as part of six personal records set by the Eutectic men's track and field team at the Joey Haines Invite – a non-scoring meet hosted by Southeast Missouri State University.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Evan McVey improved his own school record in the 100m dash, finishing in fifth place of 44 sprinters in the event. His new record time of 10.89 shaved off .08 seconds from the record he set just a week ago. McVey also finished ninth (of 36) in the 200m dash with a time of 22.31.
  • Kristofer St. Clair broke his own record in the discus throw with a new improved mark of 41.03m (134'07") – more than three feet further than his previous best – to finish 13th of 28 in the event. He also finished 12th (of 26) in the shot put with a toss of 12.16m (39'10.75").
  • Amari Wiedemeier ran 53.00 in the 400m dash to finish 14th of 30. His PR time makes him the fourth-fastest in school history for the distance.
  • Christopher Medlock improved his personal best times in the 100m and 200m dashes. His new times of 11.53 and 23.36 put him in the UHSP All-Time Top-5 lists.
  • Jack Wolfe ran a personal best in the 1500m run with a time of 4:25.08.
