Hoover Named Second-Team All-Conference

The Heart of America Athletic Conference (HEART) has announced its Men's Volleyball All-Conference awards, including UHSP's Grant Hoover. Hoover was among 10 players named to the Second-Team All-Conerence list from around the Conference, which includes four teams ranked in the top-10 in the NAIA.

Hoover, a junior outside hitter from Cranberry Township, Penn., ranks fifth in the nation (fourth in the Conference) for total kills, racking up 383 in 28 matches to average 3.83 kills per set this season.  The 6'1" Eutectic captain also ranks seventh in the Conference for total digs, totaling 216 this season, and contributed 44 blocks.

On March 17, Hoover surpassed 1,000 career kills to reach the career milestone as a junior and improve his own Eutectic record (now 1,148) – one of several he currently holds for the UHSP program.

Hoover has been recognized with All-Conference honors each of his three years on the Eutectic team. He received First-Team All-Conference honors last season and was named Co-Newcomer of the Year and Second-Team All-Conference his freshman year.

The Eutectic men's volleyball team finished the 2026 season with a record of 14-16 overall and 7-12 in the Conference.
