SEASON PREVIEW: UHSP MXC preseason #3 in AMC

ST. LOUIS, MO - The American Midwest Conference on Thursday announced their Preseason Coaches Poll for the 2025 Cross Country season and the UHSP Eutectics were picked third out the five conference schools.

The Eutectics are preparing for the first event of the season, the Redhawks XC Invite hosted by Southeast Missouri State University on Friday, August 29. It is one of four regular season meets ahead of the AMC Championships on Thursday, November 6, hosted by UHSP. The Eutectics will also host their annual Mikayla Sherrill Fall Classic just prior to the full conference event on Saturday, October 25.

Jack Wolfe and Jared Morales both return from last year's squad with Wolfe turning in the top time for the Euts at the 2024 AMC Championships, running the 8K in 32:17.9. The lineup this season for Head Coach Tim Cary will look much different this season as two freshmen join the veteran duo. Elliott Perry comes out of San Antonio, Texas to join the Eutectics and Hilo, Hawaii native Amari Wiedemeier also joins the fray.

The Columbia Cougars were picked first in the Preseason AMC poll with 16 points and received three first-place votes. Hannibal-LaGrange was second with 13 points and one first-place vote. The Eutectics had nine points ahead of Williams Baptist (7) and Crowley's Ridge (5).
