Knox Named to NACDA All-State Good Works Team
NORTHBROOK, ILL. (May 5, 2026) – Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) today announced the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring), a group of 20 student-athletes who lead in their sport, academics and in communities across the country. University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) junior softball student-athlete Jacy Knox was named to the exclusive list for her leadership in the American Red Cross. She is the first student-athlete in Eutectic history to be recognized with the honor.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was created to spotlight student-athletes for their meaningful community service. Honorees include men and women from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and junior/community colleges, with student-athletes recognized each season across spring, fall and winter sports.
This season's team was selected from 137 student-athletes nominated by their schools. Honorees receive a monetary contribution from Allstate to further support their community service.
Pat Manak, NACDA chief executive officer:
"The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team initiative continues to bring out the best in college athletics, highlighting student-athletes who are setting incredible examples as leaders and role models. To witness the impact that these young people have in communities and on campuses of all sizes across the country is special, and it is a privilege to tell their stories."
Jacy Knox:
Knox is deeply committed to serving others through her leadership with the American Red Cross. Selected as one of just 13 students nationwide for the Red Cross Collegiate Leadership Program, including two weeks of training in Washington D.C., Knox returned to campus as a Blood Program Leader. She successfully organized two record‑breaking blood drives at UHSP, collecting 80 units of blood and helping save up to 240 lives. Beyond the Red Cross, she volunteers extensively with hospitals and children's organizations, supporting patients and families through hands‑on service. A recognized leader and scholar, Jacy consistently uses her platform to create life‑saving impact within her campus and community.
"I am beyond honored to be the first Eutectic to be named a member of the NACDA Allstate Good Works Team," said Knox. "Being a student athlete, what we do off the field is just as important as what we do on the field. Over 200 lives have been impacted by my work with the American Red Cross, and I'm excited to keep supporting my community and now representing UHSP nationally!"
Head UHSP softball coach Michelle Patrico:
"Jacy always tries as hard as possible with everything she does," said Patrico. "For her to win an award for her charity work, is outstanding. Her American Red Cross blood drives get better and more successful with each one that she runs. She deserves the recognition for her work. I am so proud of her."
Knox has plans to continue her Red Cross campaign on the UHSP campus.
"My time with the American Red Cross has been nothing short of amazing," said Knox. "I will continue to host and coordinate blood drives at my college campus and hopefully increase the amount of units each drive, all while supporting my community and building lasting relationships along the way!"
