Five Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, IND. – A record-five UHSP softball student-athletes were named Academic All-District in an announcement from the College Sports Communicators (CSC), who sponsor the award. Eva Kameoka, Alicia Kimble, Payton McClellan, Trysten Murphy, and Hunter Noto made the elite CSC list of NAIA softball scholar-athletes.

The 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Softball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The program has been honoring outstanding academic and athletic achievement by student-athletes throughout the landscape of college sports since 1952.

Noto is the only UHSP repeat recipient for the recognition, also having earned the honor as a sophomore in 2025. Sophomores Kameoka, Kimble, McClellan, and Murphy only just became eligible for the award, which requires student-athletes to be at least a sophomore, maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and  compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Alicia Kimble has been selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. Kimble's stellar 2026 season earned her a First-Team All-Conference nod, American Midwest Conference (AMC) Player of the Week, and seven school records. She finished the season with the best Batting Avg., On-Base Pct., and Slugging Pct in the Conference, helping the UHSP team to 19 wins – the most in program history. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16.
