WBB: Eutectics open home slate with two-day tournament

ST. LOUIS, MO – The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy women's basketball program is set to open its home schedule in a major way by hosting the first annual UHSP Tip-Off Classic inside the UHSP Gymnasium on October 31 and November 1.

The two-day event will feature 11 NAIA programs from across the country, creating one of the most competitive early-season showcases in the Midwest. With teams representing multiple regions and conferences, including two 2024 NAIA National Tournament qualifiers, the Tip-Off Classic promises an action-packed weekend of elite women's basketball in the heart of St. Louis.

"We wanted to create something special here in St. Louis, an event that celebrates women's basketball and sets the tone for the season," said UHSP Head Coach Markell Cox. "The Tip-Off Classic is about raising the standard, not just for our program but for NAIA basketball as a whole."

2025 UHSP Tip-Off Classic field will consist of:
#7-Freed-Hardeman University (Tenn.), Central Methodist University (Mo.), Cumberland University (Tenn.), Point University (Ga.), Mission University (Mo.), Arkansas Baptist College (Ark.), Ottawa University (Ariz.), Oklahoma City University (Okla.), Haskell Indian Nations University (Kan.), St. Thomas University (Fla.), and the host UHSP Eutectics.

UHSP will debut a new-look roster led by returning standouts Karsyn Morgan, Reece Halley, and Montasia McAllister, along with an impressive group of newcomers Aryanna Bull, Analyssa Maldonado, and Alise Mīlenberga. The Eutectics are expected to play an up-tempo, high-energy brand of basketball built around defensive pressure and team chemistry.

The UHSP Tip-Off Classic also highlights the university's growing commitment to elevating women's basketball in St. Louis. With sponsor activations, community engagement, and live-streamed coverage, the event will provide a first-class experience for fans, student-athletes, and the local community.
