ST. LOUIS, MO. – The Eutectic women's basketball team took on NAIA powerhouse Freed-Hardeman University (4-0) on Saturday evening – Day 2 of the 11-team Eutectic Tipoff Classic in the UHSP gymnasium. The Eutectics played close with FHU early, but couldn't hold on, falling 95-47.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
FHU 95, UHSP 47
- FHU held a small lead early, but a triple from Reece Halley, followed by a jumper from Faith O'Handley evened the score at 14 apiece late in the first quarter. The Lions regained the lead, however, holding a 23-17 advantage after the first 10 minutes.
- The second quarter changed to tone of the game, as FHU continued on the same scoring path with 23 points as the Eutectics came up short with 10, making only 4-of-14 shots. The halftime score was 46-27.
- The Lions poured on 30 points in the third quarter, shooting at 68% from the field, as the Eutectics struggled with accuracy, scoring only nine (23%) and create a 40-point deficit that was insurmountable.
- The Lions finished the game with marksman-like numbers, averaging 52% from the floor and 46% (12-of-26) from the arc. FHU's Jenna Satterly came off the bench to score 19 points going 3-for-3 from the arc and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe while picking up six assists and three steals.
- Analyssa Maldonado led the Eutectics with nine points. Montasia McAllister pitched in eight points while pulling down six rebounds.

The Eutectics, now 0-3, will travel to Canton, Mo., on Wednesday to take on Culver-Stockton College at 5 p.m.
