Another stellar stretch leads to Player of the Week nod for Bull
ST. LOUIS - UHSP's Aryanna Bull earned American Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for week 15 of the season, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Bull helped the Eutectics to a 1-2 week including a win over Hannibal-LaGrange.
Bull pulled down 12 rebounds in the first game of the week for UHSP, a road loss at Columbia. She followed that up with a ten rebound, three block performance in the win over the Trojans last Thursday. For the week, she totaled 29 boards, two steals and five blocked shots. She also scored 55 total points across the three games including 26 in the contest at Columbia going 10-of-19 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. She then scored 19 points in the win over HLGU shooting 7-of-9 overall. Those two games marked her eighth and ninth straight shooting 40% or better from the floor.
Along with Bull, Lauren Friedrich from Columbia was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the AMC. It is the second time this year that Bull has garnered that recognition from the AMC as she was also Defensive Player of the Week on December 22.
