UHSP claims fifth at WWU as Sullivan ends six off the lead
FULTON, MO – The Eutectics finished in the top half of the field in the William Woods Fall Invitational as they finished in fifth place out of the 11 teams at Tanglewood Golf Course. UHSP ended up with a +116 as they finished seven strokes ahead of Central Methodist. Addison Sullivan had another outstanding performance as she ended up in sixth place, finishing only six strokes behind the tournament winner, Divya Gunasegar of Lincoln.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Sullivan finished with matching four-over-pars to end at 152. She ended the tournament with four birdies, three of which came on day one.
- Harper Ready tied for 14th with Alyssa Joyce of Columbia. Ready was only three strokes behind Sullivan after round one as she shot a 79 (+7). Her lone birdie was the par-4, 314-yard fourth hole on day one. The par-5, 492-yard 7th hole gave Ready trouble as she double-bogeyed it on both days. She carded an 85 (+13) on day two.
- Grace Wilkinson was 28th overall going 88-93. Day one featured two birdies and three pars.
- Zoe Lopez was at +51 overall as she finished in sole possession of 36th place. She shot a 93 on day one with seven pars, but day two was at 102 with only one par.
- Columbia won the tournament with a 618 (+42). The Cougars were 24 strokes better than second place William Woods.
