Women Finish Fifth at CMU Spring Invitational
BOONVILLE, MO. – In its second spring outing, the Eutectic women's golf team finished fifth of eight teams competing at the Central Methodist University Spring Invitational at Hail Ridge Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Eutectics' two-round total of 713 was enough to beat out sixth-place Missouri Baptist University (732) and was just behind the hosting CMU Eagles (687) in fourth. Lincoln University won the invitational with a total of 605.
- The Eutectic team had a notable improvement on Day 2, shaving 19 points off its team score from Day 1, going from a team total of 366 to 347 (+82 - +63).
- Ella Penke led the Eutectic team with an eighth-place finish of 40 golfers competing with a two-day score of 164. After shooting 83 on Round 1, she dropped two strokes in Round 2 to score 81, including two birdies on the front nine.
- Harper Ready was UHSP's number-two player at the tournament, finishing tied for 13th at 169. After a Round 1 score of 86, she shaved off three strokes for an 83 in Round 2.
- Addison Sullivan finished tied for 23rd at 179, improving her score on Day 2 by 11 strokes (95 – 84) to move up one place in the standings.
- Zoe Lopez rounded out the Eutectic team, finishing tied for 33rd at 201 (102 – 99). Her three-stroke improvement on Round 2 moved her up one place in the final scoring.

The Eutectics will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday, March 30 & 31 at the William Woods Spring Invitational in Fulton, Mo.
