Eutectics Finish Third at AMC Championships, Three Named All-Conference

MELBOURNE, ARK. – The Eutectic women's golf team racked up individual accolades to go along with their third-place finish at the American Midwest Conference (AMC) championships held Monday and Tuesday at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club. Harper Ready and Addison Sullivan earned 2nd-Team All-Conference honors, Ella Penke was Honorable Mention, and Ready was named the Newcomer of the Year and UHSP's Champion of Character.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The Eutectics finished the two-day tournament with a score of 680 (+104) to finish third behind Williams Baptist University (656) and winner Columbia College (626), while beating out Central Baptist College (726) and Cottey College (804).
  • Harper Ready, Addison Sullivan, and Ella Penke all finished in the top-10 to earn All-Conference honors. All three were also named to the Academic All-Conference list.  
  • Harper Ready, 2nd-Team All-AMC, Newcomer of the Year, Champion of Character, was the UHSP team's top finisher and the highest-placing newcomer in the Conference, taking sixth place with a two-day total score of 161. On Monday, Ready shot a 35 (-1) on the back nine with birdies on 17 and 18 to score a 77 (+5) on the course and head into Day 2 in third. On Tuesday, she improved to 41 on the front nine and finished with an 84 (+12).
  • Addison Sullivan2nd-Team All-AMC, tied for seventh place with a score of 165. After shooting an 82 to finish ranked eighth on Monday, she returned to the course on Tuesday to move up a spot in the rankings, recording three birdies for an 83. Sullivan is now a two-time All-AMC recipient, having earned Honorable Mention honors as a freshman.
  • Ella PenkeAMC Honorable Mention, tied for ninth place with a score of 166. After shooting 86 on Day 1, she returned to the course on Tuesday to improve by six strokes, including two birdies on the front nine, to move up two spots in the rankings and secure a top-10 finish. This is Penke's second All-Conference award after receiving 2nd-Team honors in 2025.
  • Zoe Lopez – tied for 16th place with a 188 to round out the Eutectic scoring. She birdied the sixth hole on Monday and shot a 90, then returned with a 98 on Day 2.
  • Ready was named to the AMC Champions of Character team, which recognizes one athlete from each team who best exemplifies the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.

Head Coach Sean Curtis was pleased with his team's performance at the Conference Championships.

"We are very proud of the effort and ability to stay focused with all the changes that took place at Conference," said Curtis. "I feel like everyone gave it their level best. We have such a wonderful team with tremendous chemistry, so to see us place three in the top ten is a good feeling."
