Biermann and Connolly Named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Molly Biermann and Catherine Connolly were named by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as 2024 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for women's lacrosse on Tuesday.

Biermann and Connolly were both a part of the inaugural women's lacrosse team in 2023 and are current sophomores on the Eutectic women's lacrosse team that finished the 2024 season with a record of 7-7. As sophomores at UHSP, this was the first season the two have been eligible for the national award which honors student-athletes who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have attended one full year at their institution.

Biermann and Connolly were among 168 student-athletes nation-wide who were named to the 2024 NAIA women's lacrosse scholar-athlete list. They are now two of three UHSP women's lacrosse athletes to earn the award, joining Lilly Combs who received the award in 2023.
