Braves too much for Eutectics in second half
OTTAWA, KS – Rilee Barnett and Brianna Valadao each netted four goals as Ottawa used a big second half to outpace UHSP 15-6. The Braves outscored the Eutectics 8-2 in the second half. Ella Penke scored half the goals for the Eutectics as she recorded her second straight hat trick and third of the season. Five of the six goal scorers for Ottawa had double digit goals.

- It was a low scoring first period as Ottawa led 2-1 after the first 15 minutes. Ella Penke got the Eutectics on the board as she scored :59 seconds after KaiAnna Senne opened the scoring for the Braves. Ottawa took a 2-1 lead on a goal from Rilee Barnett with 1:38 left in the quarter.
- Ottawa scored five goals in the second on goals from four different players as Makayla Mason tallied twice in the quarter to give the home club a 7-4 lead at the half. Penke and Michelle Le scored 38 seconds apart to make it a one-goal game at the time with Caeley Doran adding a goal to cap the half, but Ottawa scored three of the final four in the quarter to maintain a comfortable lead. It was the seventh goal on the season for both Le and Doran.
- Penke would complete the hat trick with 5:27 left in the third as she took over the team lead in scoring with her 15th of the year to make it a 9-5 Ottawa lead.
- Sadi Adams then netted her 15th of the season with 4:29 to play to end a run of four straight goals.
- Valadao scored on four of her six shots on goal in the game for Ottawa while Barnett had five shots on goal.
- Brianna Dixon made six saves on 21 shots in goal for UHSP and took the loss. Saniya Watt allowed the six goals in net for Ottawa and made five saves on 11 shots.
- The Braves outshot UHSP, 35-16.

The Eutectics (2-7, 1-3 HEART) play their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday against Culver-Stockton (4-8, 2-2) at 3:00p. The Wildcats edged UHSP earlier this season, 11-8 back on February 24. Then it is the regular season finale at St. Ambrose next Saturday at noon.
