RECORD SETTER: Eutectics record 7th win, most in single season
ST. LOUIS, MO – The 2025 Eutectics are the winningest women's soccer team in UHSP history. A 3-0 triumph over Hannibal-LaGrange on Tuesday afternoon sealed that claim as the Eutectics landed their seventh win of the win. The previous high for wins in a single season was six, which UHSP has done twice in program history. UHSP took a 2-0 lead within the first 15 minutes and never looked back as they recorded just their second-ever win over the Trojans.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
UHSP 3, HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE 0
- Bayleigh Colianno opened the scoring with her third of the season just 7:22 into the proceedings as Lyla Stegmann got the assist.
- Rylee Mirth made it 2-0 with a beautiful goal off a free kick about 30-yards out as she lofted the ball just over the outstretched arms of HLGU keeper Elizabeth Henry, but just under the crossbar for her first goal of the season.
- Izzy Rogers scored her 12th of the season off a loose ball rebound to make it 3-0 in the 78th minute. Alexa Hildebrand took a cross and knocked it off the right post, but Rogers banged home the rebound to cap the scoring.
- UHSP is now 2-6-2 all-time against Hannibal-LaGrange. The Eutectics previous win came with a 1-0 win on September 19, 2020.
- The Eutectics dominated play and unloaded 42 shots towards the Hannibal-LaGrange net to just three shots for the Trojans. 22 of those shots were on net for UHSP to just one for HLGU. The 42 shots by the Euts were the fourth-most ever taken in a single game in program history with the all-time record sitting at 57.
- Dani Nether picked up the win in net for UHSP (7-3) as she made a save on the only shot she saw.
- Elizabeth Henry (0-4) suffered the loss between the pipes for HLGU as she allowed all three goals, but made 19 saves.
- The three shots allowed by UHSP were tied for the fifth-fewest allowed in a game in program history. They most recently allowed three shots in a game against Talladega on Sept. 26, 2021. Earlier this season, the Eutectics allowed just one shot against Mount Mary on August 31.
