Beyer and Barnett Named to AMC All-Tournament Teams

In an announcement from the American Midwest Conference (AMC) on Thursday, Grace Beyer and Ahian Barnett were named to the AMC All-Tournament Teams for their performance in the 2024 AMC Basketball Tournament Presented by Tandem HR Championship. They were among 11 players selected from the qualifying men's and women's teams for each tournament eight-team bracket. 

After being named AMC Player of the Year at the AMC women's basketball banquet held in Columbia, Mo., on the eve of the quarterfinals, Grace Beyer followed up with 54 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the Eutectic win over Missouri Baptist last Friday. In the semifinal loss on Saturday to the eventual champion and host, Columbia College, she dropped in another 33 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists to lead the Eutectics in all three stats. Beyer tallied 87 points and 20 rebounds in the UHSP women's two games in the tournament.

Last Wednesday, the AMC announced Ahian Barnett as an AMC All-Conference Honorable Mention honoree. On Thursday, Barnett, a newcomer to the Eutectic squad, led the Euts with 20 points and added four rebounds in the team's quarterfinal loss to eventual champions Central Baptist College in Arkansas.
