Eutectics Open Conference Schedule with Victory at Mustangs’ Corral
CONWAY, ARK. – The Eutectic women's basketball team won the first American Midwest Conference (AMC) game of the season on Saturday afternoon, with a dominant 80-49 victory at the Central Baptist College Mustangs' (CBC)(3-6) home court. Alina Bowden and Aryanna Bull each notched double doubles in the victory that tilts the scales in favor of UHSP in the overall program matchups between the two teams, 11-10.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- Alina Bowden started things off with an offensive rebound and layup to mark the board first for the Eutectics, who never gave up the lead in the game.
- The first quarter was close until the final minute of play, when the Purple and Gold (up 11-9), scored seven points in a row with two layups from Aryanna Bull and a triple from Sara Hameed to head into the quarter break up 18-9.
- Following that, the Eutectics shot 52.6% (10-for-19) in the second quarter (led by seven-point tallies from Alise Milenberga and Reece Halley) to outscore the Mustangs 23-12 and head into halftime with a 20-point lead (42-21).
- The Mustangs, who struggled with consistency throughout the game, rallied to hit 35.3% field goal percentage in the third quarter, but it was not enough to make any headway against a confident Eutectic team. The Euts held the lead at 61-34 before the final period.
- The Eutectics held their largest lead of 35 points (74-40) with 3:21 left in the game and closed it out still up by 31.
- Bowden finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Eutectics, while Bull collected 14 points and 10 rebounds. Milenberga finished with 13 points and Halley also recorded double digits with 10 points. Analyssa Maldonado led the team in assists (5) and steals (4) while tallying seven points and five rebounds. Montasia McAllister (5), Arianna Buduan (4), Rylee Hipp (4), Kierstyn Beard (3), Sara Hameed (3), and Taylor Hitchcock (3) also scored for UHSP.
- Cammi Chistie led the Mustangs with nine points, while Anslee Ballew had seven points and seven rebounds.

The Eutectics, now 3-6 overall and 1-0 in the Conference, will get back on the road for a non-conference game on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. on Missouri Valley College's (6-5) home court in Marshall, Mo.
