Tough day at the office as Ravens handle Eutectics

CREVE COEUR, MO – The defending champion and unbeaten Benedictine Ravens had no trouble with the Eutectics on Saturday as they dominated control and improved to 10-0 on the year with a 28-1 win over UHSP. The Ravens dominated in possession with a 23-6 advantage in ground balls, a 17-5 edge in turnovers and off the draw led 24-6.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

BENEDICTINE 28, UHSP 1

  • Benedictine led 9-0 after the first quarter as the Ravens got two goals in the period from four different players. Lile Chekas, Lile Chekas, Kaylen Moore and Emma Rushing each scored a pair.
  • Lorelei Siegel netted a second period hat trick as she scored three of the five goals for the Ravens in that quarter as they led 14-0 at the half.
  • Siegle and Moore added two more in a seven-goal third that had Benedictine leading 21-0 after three.
  • Sadi Adams had the lone Eutectic goal in the final minute of the game.
  • Brianna Dixon played the first half in net for UHSP and made ten saves on 24 shots. Izzy Lash played in goal in the second half for the Eutectics and made four saves on 18 shots.
  • The Ravens used three players in net and they combined to stop three of the four UHSP shots.
  • Lorelei Siegel and Emma Rushing each had six goals on the day. Siegel added four assists.

NEXT UP:

It will be three of four on the road for UHSP (2-5, 1-1 HEART). A short road trip to play at Missouri Baptist (6-4, 1-0 HEART) is next for the Eutectics on Thursday at 4:00p. Then it is stops at Ottawa and St. Ambrose sandwiched around a regular-season home finale on April 15 against Culver-Stockton.
