Eutectics Split the Doubleheader to End the Regular Season
LAWRENCE, KS – The Eutectics closed out their regular season at Haskell Indian Nations University, splitting the final doubleheader with Haskell softball. UHSP's offense erupted in game three before Haskell answered in game four.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
GAME 1 - UHSP 11, HASKELL 2
- UHSP erupted for 11 runs on 15 hits, putting together their most complete offensive performance of the series.
- The Eutectics broke the game open with a four-run third and added four more in the fourth to take control.
- Alicia Kimble powered the lineup with a home run and four total bases.
- Hunter Noto matched that output with four total bases as UHSP saw production up and down the order.
- Payton McClellan added a triple and three total bases in a strong performance.
- Hallie Roper and Trysten Murphy each contributed three total bases to the 15-hit effort.
- UHSP was aggressive on the bases, swiping three bags in the win.
- The Eutectics also showed patience at the plate, drawing multiple hit-by-pitches to create additional traffic.
- Trysten Murphy earned the win in the circle, throwing 46 strikes across 74 pitches while limiting Haskell to two runs.
GAME 2 - HASKELL 6, UHSP 4
- UHSP jumped out early with two runs in the first and added two more late, but could not overcome Haskell's middle-inning surge.
- The Eutectics were limited to six hits in the game after posting 15 in the opener.
- Averi Glosemeyer led the offense with a double and three total bases.
- Elizabeth Trosper added a double and two total bases in the effort.
- UHSP created pressure on the bases with four stolen bases, including two from Payton McClellan.
- Defensive miscues proved costly, as UHSP committed three errors that led to additional opportunities for Haskell.
- Emma Henley worked 75 pitches in the circle, throwing 53 strikes while facing 29 batters.
- Haskell capitalized with timely hitting, recording eight hits and multiple extra-base knocks.
- The Indians used a three-run first inning to set the tone and held off UHSP the rest of the way.

The Euctectics clinch a spot in the American Midwest Conference tournament and await final seeding and first round matchup. The tournament begins on April 28th in Branson, MO.
